The Issue of Illness Due to Aging｜加齢に伴う病の問題

God has made life finite, and the path leading to its end is set in various ways. Illness that comes with aging is one such path, granted by God’s will. No matter how much we may try to change this process, God’s power surpasses all, and it cannot be fully defied. Yet, there is a promise we are called to believe in. By trusting in the land of rest that God has prepared, our hearts find comfort, and the suffering brought by illness is eased.

神かみは命いのちを有限ゆうげんとし、その終おわりに至いたるまでの道みちを様々さまざまに定さだめられました。加齢かれいに伴ともなう病やまいはその一ひとつであり、神かみの意志いしによって与あたえられたものです。しかし、どれほど人ひとがその過程かていを変かえようとしても、神かみの力ちからはそれを超越ちょうえつしており、完全かんぜんに逆さからうことはできません。だが、我々われわれには信しんじるべき約束やくそくがあります。神かみが用意よういされた安息あんそくの地ちを信しんじることで、心こころは慰なぐさめられ、病やまいによる苦くるしみも軽減けいげんされるのです。
